Sports
Getback2action will offer sports classes that will include tennis, basketball and baseball for its initial pilot program. By staying active, a patient can improve muscle strength and hand-eye coordination skills. These skills can be limited while going though treatment. The activities below will be available by Spring of 2020.
Tennis
Tennis is a great way to build your hand-eye coordination and a balanced skill set. The USTA created a program called Net Generation, making tennis more accessible to all ages and skill levels. With new tennis balls and racket sizes, based upon age and skill, kids can now play tennis anywhere.
Baseball
Baseball is a great team sport to meet new friends. Baseball not only helps you with hand-eye coordination skills with catching, throwing and swinging a baseball bat, but you also learn how to work with others on the field using your communication skills. Every baseball game has at least 10 players on the field, 9 for defense plays in the field and 1 offensive player swinging the baseball bat at home plate.
Basketball
Basketball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. With only a hoop to shoot in and a basketball, you can play anywhere. It takes 5 players per team. Each player on the court is responsible for offense and defense. Basketball helps you work on your cardiovascular skills and team communication skills.
